My Training Philosophy
Trusting someone else to care for our dogs is tough. I could count on one hand the people I trust with Nova while I'm away; so I know exactly how hard it is to hand your dog over to someone else.
This is why I strongly believe in private sessions as the core of my training services. I want owners involved, and I want them there, learning and growing with their dogs. I want them to ask questions live, so I can answer them live. I want them to see the quirks, the hiccups, the distractions, because that's real life.
My Training Approach
I use a balanced training methodology. This means I reward good behaviors frequently, and correct bad behaviors when they occur. I use treats, praise, toys, prong collars, and e-collars. When it comes to corrective tools, I believe in fair, emotion-free corrections, so a dog is never left confused, and the bond and trust we've built stays intact.
I tell you this upfront because you should know exactly what you're signing up for. Positive-only methods hit a ceiling with reactivity, barking, jumping, and other unsafe behaviors; and that's where balanced training earns its keep. My approach starts with engagement: building focus and connection with your dog before anything else. Corrections only mean something once that foundation is there.
Too many trainers treat dogs like a product and owners like a wallet. I'm not that trainer.
I want your trust, and more importantly, your dog's. That only comes from respect, clear communication, and fair training practices. Everything I do is built to earn that trust and strengthen it.
